EHD (Encourage the Human Development) organization is a women led organization and itwas founded in 2004 by an activist group of lawyers with a different social and educational background. EHD is a not-for-profit, non-political and non-religious organization registered under the Registration and Control Ordinance Act 1961 in 2007. Its founding members are expert and highly motivated Lawyers, Retired judges, and highly educated individuals, In 2007 EHD established formal legal aid centers and legal advocacy campaigns with regular workshops, seminars, and case filling in courts. EHD opened its branch office in Muzaffargarh in 2009, in Khanewal in 2010, and in Bahawalpur in 2011. By this EHD is covering south Punjab for humanitarian response and legal aid support. Its main office is in Multan where women workers, women, and youth members get benefits from publications, research reports, and information material on humanitarian response, law related to labor rights, women and child rights.
